John & Pete’s ‘Eco Blog’making waves!

The Harbour Lights Falmouth for the last two years has been raising money for the Marine Conservation Society (MCS). All our restaurant hot drink prices have included a voluntary donation of 5p, which is paid directly to the MCS. The MCS campaigns for clean seas, sustainable fisheries and the protection of all marine life. This has been a totally voluntary donation, that our valued customers have been free to ask to be removed from their bill. In 2008, over 20,000 hot drinks were sold and less than 5 customers asked not to pay the donation, consequently in December 2008 we were able to pass £1075.85 onto the MCS. We have continued with the scheme in 2009 and hope that the total figure raised this year will beat last year’s total.
